When Hammer Creative needed eye-catching animation for Riot Games’ new game The Mageseeker – A League of Legends Story, they hired the award-winning animation studio, The New Blank. We worked closely with their creative team to make a graphics package that perfectly captured the exciting world of this new game.

Our job was to develop title cards, animated text graphics, and endtags filled with the energy and vibrancy of The Mageseeker game’s visuals. We started by carefully looking at the game’s beautiful visuals and artwork. Our animators tried out many creative ideas inspired by these visuals. We tested effects like electrical arcs highlighting ancient symbols, bluish-purple cel-animated fire effects, and 3D cel-shaded chain animations. Each animated element was pixel-treated to perfectly match The Mageseeker’s distinctive graphic style.

In the end, the animated 3D cel-shaded chains were chosen as the cohesive graphic theme to unite all the animation deliverables. The chains framed the scenes with an organic, magical energy. Beyond the main graphics, our team defined complete visual guidelines and created versatile animation templates. These included tools for typography, lower thirds, transitions, keyable graphics, and full-screen animations. We even animated the ancient symbols and logo to further immerse viewers in The Mageseeker’s universe.

The final animation package seamlessly blended immersive visuals with the thrilling gameplay of The Mageseeker. This stellar animated brand extension helped generate excitement and interest in the game across promotional campaigns. Through our collaborative creative process, we produced a unified, high-impact animation suite that exemplifies the magic and energy of this new game property.
