Pop! Yourself Dads and Grads Integrated Campaign

A light-hearted launch for sentimental gifts

Funko’s Pop! Yourself Dads and Grads campaign invited fans to turn their loved ones into collectible Pop! figures—just in time for graduation and Father’s Day gifting. The campaign marked an exciting evolution in Funko’s marketing approach: moving from an in-house, DIY-style execution to a professionally produced, fully integrated creative partnership.

Working closely with Funko’s internal creative team, we helped bring their vision to life—elevating a script full of charm with a playful visual treatment and thoughtful production. Together, we created two hero spots and a full suite of stills and modular content, all tailored for today’s fast-moving, multi-platform media landscape. The tone? Cheeky, sweet, and unmistakably Funko.

The result? A modular, high-production-value integrated campaign across social, digital, and linear platforms—delivering sentimental smiles at scale.

The Process

From tiny toys to tiny triumphs—here’s how we pulled it off.

With only a few short days to prep, our skeleton crew set out to do what we do best: make every shot count. We filmed 65 Pop! figures and 8 on-camera talent to build two hero spots—each designed with multiple aspect ratios and time-based variations in mind.

To accommodate the modular concept for the Funko integrated campaign (think Brady Bunch meets creative chaos), each actor delivered lines to all four quadrants. This gave us editing flexibility for eyelines and interactions between Pops and people—essential to stitching the story together cleanly in post.

Post-production took place in DaVinci Resolve and After Effects. Each Pop! figure was color corrected and retouched, matched with its real-world counterpart, and slotted into layouts that ranged from horizontal 30s to vertical 15s. From a single creative script, we built 28 unique deliverables, plus a full suite of still photography—talent shots, Pop closeups, and standalone product imagery.

Integrated Campaigns Are Never Just “Two Spots”

What looks simple on paper never is. A campaign like this one may list two main spots, but the real delivery included:

  • 28 video deliverables in multiple lengths (30s, 15s) and formats (horizontal, square, vertical)

  • Dozens of product and promotional stills for use across social, e-comm, and retail

  • Modularity baked in from day one—allowing social team reuse and remix potential

Integrated marketing means meeting the audience wherever they are. For Funko, that meant TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, CTV, and in-store screens—all with different specs and creative needs.
