INFLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT BRAND

Alaska Airlines new inflight entertainment service needed identities and graphic animations. We created thematic bumps that would inform while setting the mood for the content they were about to consume. Ooooh consume, consume, consume. Sooo sweet.

The Process

We developed scenes based on the different themes of each channel. Utilizing sound design and secondary elements to tell the story of the scene, the wall and type textures help set the context. The inflight entertainment branding was designed to be flexible enough to extend across additional channels and pillars as well as print and digital.

Sketches were created of the different concepts for the various channels Alaska Airlines had to offer. Once the right balance of imagery was reached we would develop photo real scenes in 3D. Each scene needed opens and closes, we decided that the opens would consist of a reveal whereas the closes would simply be the logo up the full time but with different sound design from the opens.
