AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS SEASON TWO BRANDING

ABC invited us back to design the branding for a second season of the American Music Awards incorporating the look and feel of the brand new AMA logo. The scale and style of the type work naturally with images and rapid-cut animation style. We think our old mentor and friend, P. Scott Makela would have approved.

The Process

ABC returned to revamp the branding for a second season of the American Music Awards. We developed a bold graphic package celebrating their new logo. The main demographic of the AMA trends younger than the typical ABC demographic so we were approached specifically to develop a brand package that could accompany and appeal. Our solution focused on rhythm and timings of the music the show was celebrating so we kept it upbeat, uptempo, rapid fire and modern. We then created flexible but streamlined template files for the ABC in-house promo team.
